Colorado Star Ball 2007
The 11th annual Colorado Star Ball kicked off within sight of the glorious Rocky Mountains on June 15th in the newly renovated, luxurious Hyatt Regency in the Denver Tech Center. Dancers from coast to coast took to the floor for three days of exciting competition, shows and fun. Veteran competitors and organizers Richard and Jennifer Booth and their staff provided a well organized event that had something for everyone. Everyone got goody bags, the judges had some fun with casual summerwear during the "celebrate summer" day on the 16th and "wacky hat day" on the 17th.
All scholarship events had at least a semi-final with a couple of events going into quarter finals! There was competition in the majority of heats and loads of spectator support throughout the weekend. The Colorado Star Ball is also the only competition in the country offering competitive events in wheelchair dancesport. And if well filled professional heats weren't enough of a show, a dazzling exhibition by 9 times world champions Brian Watson and Carmen had the standing room only crowd on its feet in appreciation.
